Biography

Dr. Usha Rao is a Consultant Cardiologist with over 19 years of experience. She completed a Post-Doctoral (DM) residency in Cardiology at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai University, in 2008. Dr. Usha Rao has vast experience performing non-invasive cardiac procedures such as; 2D echo and doppler study (adult and pediatric), exercise and echo stress tests, HUT test, Holter study, and trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE). She has been trained in Invasive Procedures such as diagnostic coronary angiograms, peripheral angiograms, renal angiograms, cardiac catheterizations, therapeutic primary percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (primary PTCAS), elective- PTCAS simple and complex, pacemaker implantation; temporary and permanent, and percutaneous transluminal mitral valvuloplasty’s (PTMC). Before joining Medeor Hospital, Abu Dhabi, Dr. Usha practiced at leading medical institutions in Southern India and the UAE.
